Three ways to refresh your branding

A good way to reinvigorate your organisation is to refresh your branding.

By injecting some life into your branding, you can create buzz around your company that will earn you valuable attention from existing and potential clients. Don't have the budget to execute a total rebrand? Don't worry! Here are some minor adjustments you can make to give your business the face lift it needs to stay relevant.

1. Launch a comprehensive digital campaign

A brand refresh is the perfect time to update your logo and tagline. Less is more when it comes to this. The simpler and bolder your logo, the easier it will be to identify. Too many details on a logo will look messy and it's a sure-fire way to lose impact. If possible, integrate your brand's original colours remember this is a brand refresh, not a brand demolition.

The same holds true with the tagline, and this has been proven time and again through famous brands such as McDonald's ("I'm lovin' it"), Nike ("Just do it") and Apple ("Think different"). You'd be hard pressed to find a person who doesn't recognise each of these slogans, and part of their success is the sleek precision and simple messaging.

3. Invest in stationery and other brand paraphernalia

Stationery is a large part of your brand's identity. Therefore, it's essential to include it during your company's rejuvenation. Extend your branded paper products into other branded merchandise that can be easily circulated.

These will not only aid in building brand awareness, but will also help your business appear put-together. Examples include pens, key rings, mints, USBs and golf balls. Ensure they contain your updated logo and, if possible, your tagline.

A refresh is essential if you feel your brand is getting tired or could use some more attention. These simple steps can help bring your business to the fore.
